Not a
documentary but an American film made in 1990, (i.e. before the
collapse of the USSR) that compiles the
news reports of the previous year. An excellent insight into how
the events of 1989 were seen by those who lived through it. An
excellent antidote to the teleological tendency to see the
events of 1989 as inevitable.
